  • I then must look to the number in the right,

Kimberly and Laverne had breakfast at a cafe.
Muffins cost $2 each, and fruit cups cost $4 each.
Kimberly had 2 muffins and 2 fruit cups.
Laverne had 2 muffins and 2 fruit cups.
How much did their breakfast cost?
8 + 16 = $24


In Michelle’s desk drawer there are 20 yellow highlighters.
There are 6 more pink highlighters than there is yellow,
and 7 more blue highlighters than pink highlighters.
How many highlighters in total?
79 highlighters.


20 + 26 = 46
26 + 7 = 33
20 + 26 + 33 = 79


Jesse had $20.
Then he saved $6 from his allowance and spend $4 on a comic book,
and $13 on a puzzle. How much does Jesse have left.
$26 - $4 = $22
$22 - $13 = $9


Last week Tim and his roommate ate 3/4 of a carton yogurt,
and this week they ate ⅞ of a carton.
How much more yogurt did they eat this week compared to last week.
1 whole.


3 + 4 = 7
8 + 4 = 8
= 4/4 = 1 whole

My Goals for 2019
My goals for 2019. In order to achieve them, I will need to work hard and get through the multiple steps, assigned for me to work my way up. The challenge won't be easy, instead I expect myself to fail many times before I can succeed. I just need to persevere knowing it was my best.
