Figurative Language	Literal Meaning:	Figurative Meaning:
Metaphor	“ I’m really mad at you.”	“I’M GOING TO KILL YOU!!”
Metaphor	“I’m starving!”	“I’m so hungry I could eat a horse!”
Metaphor	“She cried for long.”	“She cried so long she cried a river.”
Simile	“I am well known, and shine.	“I’m as bright as a diamond.”
