What did Opal’s father send her to the store for?
She was sent for, 2 Tomatoes,
White rice and macaroni and cheese.
What did she come back with?
She came back with a dog named Winn-Dixie
What was Winn-Dixie named after?
Winn-Dixie grocery store
Why did Opal’s father agree to keep Winn-Dixie?
Opal’s father let Opal keep Winn-Dixie,
due to how Winn-Dixie pulled back his lips,
and demonstrated the biggest smile.
Also his job as a preacher was to help those less fortunate,
and Winn-Dixie happened to be one of them.
How did Opal feel that she and Winn-Dixie were similar?
Opal felt her and Winn-Dixie had a lot in common.
Such as the lack of friends.
